Serving Foster Kids in our Community

March 29, 2017 Filed Under: Update

Exciting news! We’ve been approached by The Director of Elon Homes and Schools for Children. They are preparing to open a residential transitional living program (located on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University) this Spring.  The program will meet the needs of youth transitioning out of foster care. Our collective goal is to provide these young adults with resources and programs to help them successfully transition into adulthood by focusing on independent living skills such as financial management, resume writing, career exploration, job shadowing, mentorship, daily living goals, etc. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve with Elon Homes and to pour into the lives of these young adults. Keep us in your prayers and thank you always for your support.

We are on the move taking the Dream Center to Schools, Churches and Organizations.

All children are precious and must know they can dream and have visions for a purposeful life.  We are here to coach, mentor, teach and put them on the right path.

Pray for us as we do the will of Our Lord.

Any Day Now!

Hello Friends,

We are excited about the prospect of the new building for the Pineville Dream Center.  In times like these it is imperative that each of us in some way, big or small, make a contribution to help a child in need.

Over a cup of coffee this morning CNN aired a story that tugs daily at my heart about the condition of children. They reported the suicide rates among children and African-American children in particular have doubled in the last two decades.  The authors state that programs for children even before they display suicidal behavior could help reduce suicide rates.  Please read more at http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/19/health/suicide-youth/

Please join us and support the Pineville Dream Center with your prayers, time, money,  gifts and talents.

Bless you,

Velma Hutchines

Hello Friends!

We are diligently searching for a home to house the Pineville Dream Center in Pineville or the Charlotte area.  The fruits of our labor will far outweigh any bumps along the way.  Any tips or recommendations about a suitable facility you can share with us, please do.  To reach us, visit our Contact Page.

The kids are waiting so we are working to provide a beautiful, safe and fun facility for them.

Blessings to you all!

Velma
